Q&A: “How will you help me stand out from the local competition?”

Standing out.jpg

In business there is rarely an opportunity without competition. But we’re not scared of it, and we make sure TWS franchisees aren’t either!

We have a simple focus to help you stand out locally: be better than the rest. This is what we live for at The Wheel Specialist, and what we will train and support you and your team to achieve.

Being the best isn’t just about producing a better finished product than the rest (although it certainly helps!). We have established ourselves as market leaders over the last 13 years in a number of ways, and we don’t plan on that changing anytime soon. That gives franchisees a superb, premium brand to lean on from day one of their new business.

Service

Of course, it’s all well and good us bragging; after all, we’re a little biased! But what really matters for franchisees looking to grow is what customers think and say. And for that, there’s social media and Trustpilot.

At the time of writing our franchisees have achieved over 6,400 Trustpilot reviews with an average score of 4.9 out of 5, rated ‘excellent’. No matter how good a competitor’s processes and finishes are, they cannot compete with that level of customer satisfaction or with the level of social proof that our collective network has achieved so far.

Our turnaround times are the fastest in the industry with a core element of our model being same-day service for powder coated wheels and slightly longer for diamond cut wheels. You can quite literally drop your car off, go shopping and come back to collect your brand-new wheels.

Customers talk, and if you look at Facebook or Instagram, you’ll find them talking about how good their wheels are after they’ve visited a TWS branch.

Visibility

Moving from customer service to customer experience (another area we scrupulously monitor and evolve), it’s important of course that your potential customers can find you. We’re proud that our website ‘instant quote’ feature was used by over 36,000 people last year, leading to £30m of work being quoted by franchisees. That’s a LOT of business!

We are constantly utilising SEO & Google Ads to drive people to the site, resulting in increases in visitors every year. Social media is of course another key tool both nationally and locally for each franchise; one of the platforms we use was recently achieving around 100,000 views per day.

That’s serious brand awareness for every franchisee in the network.

Technology

Another key customer experience element we are extremely proud of is our new CCPS (Contactless Customer Processing System). In development for some time, when lockdown hit in March it was expedited and rolled out.

CCPS is a smartphone-based method of processing a customer’s job from start to finish, eliminating the need for multiple customer signatures and reducing potential physical exposure, making it safer for the franchisee, their team and of course their customers. It has been a great success, with positive feedback from the network as well as customers.

Support

The Hub.jpg

At The Hub [our Head Office] we are continually looking for new equipment and technology which will provide a benefit to franchisees’ service offering, and this extends to supplier research where we can utilise our buying power to bring prices down and ensure best quality.

Of course, you also have us at The Hub, a team of professionals, at your beck and call as a franchisee. We can assist you with any matter relating to the running of your business, from technical operations to growth and development. We work with you to help you grow your business to reach your goals… and like so many other aspects of The Wheel Specialist, that’s something your competitors can’t match.
