Franchisees set to win more business from motorsport sponsorship
Ryan Lovett is a lucky man. His regular car is a racing car – and The Wheel Specialist’s UK franchisees are set to benefit from his co-operation in building their brand.
Ryan, 26, is being sponsored by wheel refurbishment franchise The Wheel Specialist as part of his Caterham Academy introduction to motorsport course. Ryan says: “A road-legal race car, built by Caterham, is part of the course package. Mine is bright Lamborghini green, and we’ve kitted it out with two sets of wheels, one for wet and one for dry track conditions. The Wheel Specialist has committed to powder coat one set bright green with a black rim, and the other black with a bright green rim.
“My car always turns heads on the track or on the road. The wheels will make it even more striking.”
The car will also sport The Wheel Specialist logo. “The logo will also be visible in all photos of the car and in the YouTube videos I am making about my motorsport activities,” says Ryan, from Solihull.
The Wheel Specialist’s branding will be on show when Ryan races with fellow Caterham Academy drivers at circuits including Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Donington Park, Thruxton, Cadwell Park and Snetterton.
Ryan has already experienced the quality of The Wheel Specialist’s work. “I used to have a Mercedes C class, with 19” black multispoke AMG alloys. When they started looking a bit less than sparkling, I got them restored by The Wheel Specialist in Birmingham. I know the ones on my race car will look great, in real life, photos and videos,” Ryan says.
Has Ryan got his eyes on a career in motor sport? “Not really,” he says. “Some people do this course as a step towards a motor racing career, but I am doing it for the love of it, and because it means spending time with my dad, who used to race, and suggested we do this together.”
Jack Murphy, Managing Director at The Wheel Specialist says: “Sponsoring Ryan will generate more brand recognition for the Wheel Specialist among people with a keen interest in motorsport, and should translate into more business for our franchisees.
“Ryan’s car is a showstopper, both on the track and on the road, and its wheels will showcase our franchisees’ high-quality work, which can only be good news for our existing franchisee network and any prospective franchisee attracted to The Wheel Specialist franchise package.”
The Wheel Specialist is seeking more franchisees to continue its ongoing plans for expansion.
Investment typically totals £160,000, but you can get started with just £60,000, as funding for the rest is available, subject to status.
